OPEN CALL FOR EUROPEAN ARTISTS, SONGWRITERS, LABELS, PUBLISHERS, AND TRANSLATORS

Co-Creation / Song Translation

Creative Europe co-funded cooperation project BELEM - Boosting European Lyrics' Entrepreneurial Monetization launches it's last open call for lyric translation and co-creation.

The project provides 3000 € in funding, per project, towards the translation of songs from one European language to other European languages, that assist in the internationalization and monetization of European works. Our Associate Partner LyricFind facilitates the lyric licensing, distribution and monetization of the lyrics and translations. Lusitanian Music Publishing, BELEM Partner in charge of the co-creation and song translation grants, announces that there are three slots left for co-funded projects under BELEM's lyric translation and co-creation grants. The objective of this open call is to find three European Music Publishers from diverse geographical regions who are interested in translating their songs - whether translation for meaning of recorded and released (or to be released) songs, or adaptations for future recordings of the songs to be released in different European Languages.

We urge interested publishers to send project proposals through the web form or via email providing us with the following information below by July 11th. The BELEM Co-Creation Jury will convene to select the final 3 projects in mid July, with the final announcements expected by the end of July. The projects are expected to be fully completed by November 2025. Minimum total project budget: €5000. Lump sum award: €3000 (60% EU funding, 40% applicant co-investment). Initial payment: €1500 upon signing the Project Support Agreement.

Please contact music@lusitanian.pt for any clarifications.

We look forward to your proposals!
